Kim from Singledou[b]t + GIVEAWAY

Hello, my name is Kim from Singledou[b]t

I am so excited to be guest-posting here at Our Reflection.
Its my first guest post! (Let me know how I did. :)

I am a single, Christian, woman living in New York City.

I am a "struggling" artist.  By struggling, I mean I love to create but
I am shy so my art often takes a back seat.  I love photography, writing, knitting,
cooking, and creating.  I find life in finding ways to create or recreate.
My blog was started over a year ago as I felt an itch to leave my 9-5 and pursue my artistic passions.

Most days my blog is centered around my faith and what I am learning.  Other days its focused on what I am creating.  My heart and goal for my blog is to share what I am learning, whether its in my creating or from my faith in the living God.  Often times, I am processing out loud and love to hear how others have learned from similar experiences. Blogging is a way for me to channel my creativity, an outlet for the things that I am passionate about.

I love to learn. I love to find new ways to express myself.  One thing I want to see come out of being a part of blogging communities is having a fresh perspective on the world and the lives around me.

I'd love it if you stopped by my little corner of the World Wide Web.

You can also find me here:

I'm also giving away $15 towards my shop as well as some ad space on my blog.

Take a look around, get acquainted.

Thank you for taking some time to get to know me.

THANKS, LAURA for letting me join your lovely community!

The Mama behind Mama Marchand's Nest

Hi, Our Reflection readers! I'm thrilled that my sweet friend, Laura, has graciously allowed me to take over her bloggy space today. What an honor!

I am a youth pastor's wife, a mama to a sweet & spunky two year old little girl, author of Mama Marchand's Nest, owner of Mama's Nest Designs, and a part time employee (but not for long!). To say I'm busy is an understatement. There is a reason why this mama has to have a ginormous caramel iced coffee first thing every morning! Our life is chaotic but it's also wonderful. We often get asked "how do manage it all?" Well, very carefully.

1.) We say no. We have to. We just can't be involved in everything we're asked to even though most of it is good stuff! I've had to pass up several incredible opportunities both with my blog and my shop but I have no regrets. The hubs has done the same because family absolutely comes first!

2.) We have family meetings. We literally sit down every weekend and go over our weekly calendars. You should see my Erin Condren planner, y'all. It is highlighted, underlined, and filled with globs of white out, filled with playdates, the hubs' ministry schedule, blog posts, and more.

3.) We schedule in spontaneity. Say what? As crazy as that sounds, we schedule in free time. It's our precious family time, time that we don't touch, time that's just for us to do whatever we want, just the three of us. You'll often find us at IKEA, eating cheap but delicious food and wandering the marketplace or at Target, checking out the dollar aisle for fun stuff to do. We LOVE going to the National Zoo in Washington, DC and we also love to just take off in the car and find a new place to explore.

These are the three top ways that our family of three stays sane AND connected. Tell me - what suggestions do you have for keeping track of your family's schedule? What kinds of things do you do in your family free time?

Thanks to Laura for the blessing of guest posting for her today! I hope you'll click over and say hello! *smile*

Blog Swap with Salena @ A Little Piece of Me

It's Friday! Friday! Friday! Can you tell I'm excited?

Well I'm not only excited because what day of the week it is, but because of a very special guest I have today. Salena from A Little Piece of Me. She's a blogger who stand out, always putter her children and grandchildren {9 of them total!} first. Take it away Salena....

Hello Our Reflection followers!  I was so excited when Laura agreed to do this
swap with me.  She is such a lovely person and I love to meet new people!

Hi, my name is Salena!  I was born and raised and currently live in Hawaii.

I am a wife, mother of 6 (3 adult kids & 3 little ones), and a grandmother of 3.  I am a stay-at-home mommy to my 3 little girls and spend my days in what seems like a UFC fight and 3-ring circus.  I am addicted to coffee, diet coke, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, re-creating my blog design, and pinterest.

I blog because I want to share my life with others in hopes to inspire them. It's a joy for me to talk with others and to connect with their life experiences and to share mine. I created “A Little Piece of Me” in hopes to fulfill this passion of mine. My blog centers around my daily life, marriage, parenting, things that interest me, what I'm passionate about and basically just where my heart thoughts lead me.

I opened my etsy shop shortly after I started my blog.  I love creating things like cards, jewelry, accessories and fun things for my girls.  In my shop you can find handmade & handcrafted accessories.  Being born and raised in Hawaii, you will find some Hawaiian influences in my pieces.
I hope you will stop by my blog and shop sometime!  I would LOVE to hear from you!

Thank you Laura for having me!!

xoxo, Salena

Guest Post: Cassie from Live.Laugh.L0ve.

Everyday, a new blessing. I'm a newbie to the blogging world {today is actually day 25} and I'm so overjoyed today to have my very first guest Cassie from Live.Laugh.L0ve. The reason this it was so important for me to have Cassie as my first guest is because she was one who reached out to me first. To help, support, and answer silly questions. She offered to do a button swap with a girl that didn't know what a button was! Thank you Cassie for caring. For taking the time to make others feel special.
I blog over at Live.Laugh.L0ve. I LOVE God first and foremost, you can read about my faith here. I am a wife to my high school crush! :)
I am also a momma to two of the most adorable boys
in the world if I do say so myself. :)
Today I'm going to try & tell you a little bit about myself. Something I'm horrible at doing & I have no idea why, because well, I know me so it should be easy right? :) Here it goes.
I am a free spirited person. I live life one minute at a time, savoring every moment I can. Even little things like drinking hot chocolate with my little one's! These tiny moments are as precious to me as the big moments.
I believe in Living life, Laughing as much as possible & Loving with my whole heart. I try to Embrace life. Something I think people don't do often enough. I want to encourage/inspire people to embrace this crazy beautiful thing called life and loving every minute of it. Even the bad stuff. This life is so short, why waste it?
I have learned that I am beautifully different & it has taken me awhile to accept that. I take a too many pictures & believe it's okay to cry. I am a very sensitive person and a very passionate person. I am also utterly compassionate. I want to reach out and help those who are hurting, who are unhappy and show them the light in a dark place.
I am spontaneous & I believe in living my dreams! I blog about anything and everything! I also have a shop called ccy designs where you will find inspirational hand stamped jewelry! Today I would like to offer Laura's readers a 15% percent discount on everything in the shop. The code will be good through the 28th! Use Code Laura at checkout!

Hope you will stop by and say hello!
Thanks so much Laura for having me here today!
